The Kambio Journey

Have you ever dreamed of leaving it all behind to embrace new challenges?
What if you could start fresh in a place you love, reconnect with nature, and pursue something meaningful?
That’s exactly what Anne Sophie and Patrick did in 2013. They left their busy lives in France and started a new chapter in Cambodia.

Having known and loved Cambodia for many years, they decided to challenge themselves once more. Drawn by its lush landscapes and vibrant culture.

They made Siem Reap their home and opened Body and Soul, a peaceful spa focused on wellness. But they quickly discovered that finding truly natural and sustainable beauty products was a challenge. Anne Sophie, who had always believed in the power of natural skincare. Yet, she couldn’t find the pure, chemical-free ingredients she needed for the spa. Even something as simple as high-quality coconut oil was hard to source locally. Little did they know, this journey would bring them so much success and joy…

The Birth of Kambio

In 2014, driven by a desire to create safe and natural alternatives, Anne Sophie began experimenting with her own recipes. She sourced ingredients from local markets, while Patrick, always curious and adventurous. He explored the surrounding regions, learning about distillation techniques and essential oil extraction. As the spa flourished, so did their love for creating their own products.

By 2015, the dream of launching a brand that reflected their values became a reality, and Kambio Nature was born. The early days were simple yet fulfilling. Anne Sophie would blend oils. She crafted small batches of soaps by hand. By 2018, Patrick had become a perfume master. He continued to experiment with distillation, turning Cambodian plants into potent essential oils.

The couple’s dedication paid off, and soon, word spread. Boutique hotels, wellness resorts, and spas across Siem Reap began reaching out. They were eager to offer their guests something both luxurious and eco-friendly.

A Family Passion and New Growth

What started as a modest project quickly grew into a family affair. As the business expanded, their daughter joined the journey, bringing fresh ideas and a youthful spirit to the brand. In 2017, with a growing demand, Kambio Nature introduced a gentle line of baby care products. Inspired by Anne Sophie’s concern for creating safe and nourishing products for her grandchildren.

In 2021, the launch of Kambio Fit marked a new chapter. Combining aromatherapy-based solutions and active wellness products to help with pre-workout preparation, muscle recovery, and overall well-being. Designed to support athletes and anyone who enjoys an active lifestyle.

❥ New Growth opportunities

At the end of 2021, we made a big decision—a leap into the unknown. We moved to Phnom Penh, setting up in the vibrant Toul Tompoung Quarter (Russian Market). The COVID crisis brought its share of challenges, but it also opened unexpected doors for growth.

It wasn’t easy, and yes, it was a little scary, but we knew it was the right move for us. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we’ve made. With our team by our side, stronger and more united than ever, we embraced this new chapter with determination and hope.

In 2022, our efforts were further recognized when we achieved the ISO GMP 22716:2007 certification—an international standard for quality and safety in cosmetic production. This milestone marked a proud moment in our journey.

And just when we thought our story had fully blossomed, In 2023, our second daughter joined the business to deepen our roots, ensuring our family tree can grow even stronger—together with you.
